WHAT IS SOC 2 COMPLIANCE?

Service Organization Control (SOC) 2 represents the ultimate degree of excellence in systems and operations control. A SOC 2 assessment report is provided after a company undergoes an independent audit process conducted by a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). This process typically requires up to twelve months evaluating an organization’s security policies and procedures. Successful completion of the SOC 2 assessment means that the organization adheres to best-in-class security practices for maintaining customers’ data protection. The SOC 2 industry standards are established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and cover various specific attributes, namely: security, privacy, availability, processing integrity, and confidentiality
